How to brighten up my day

Do you ever have one of those days where you're just completely fed up?  I have been educated in the best universities in Britain, I can program in 4 different languages and I have the IQ of a genius but I just spent 8 hours  sticking stickers on envelopes for just over minimum wage.

Plus, after proudly voting last night (got to love democracy) I've spent the whole day on the edge of my seat but we still don't have a government!  So I was fed up until I got home and found a package from America.  FABRIC!

I bought 5 yards of this fabric from Fat Quarter Shop because it was on sale and seemed like a complete bargain.

It's Green Cherry Blossoms from the Full Bloom range by Bari J Ackerman and the more I looked at it, the more I fell in love with it so I searched out these two beauties on eQuilter.

Blue Tea Party and Lavender Tea Party from the same range.  Grey clouds lifting, bright colours making me smile.  I have no idea what to do with them because they're very large prints but I'm happy just to look at them tonight.

  1. Wonderful fabrics! I fondle my favorite fabrics often and wish I could just hang them on the walls like tapestries!

However, if you don't already have it, you MUST, MUST, MUST look at the book 'Just Can't Cut It: Quilts from Fabulous Fabrics' by Pamela Mostek. (It's on Amazon at http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/156477449X/cgiscripts) I'm sure it's available elsewhere.

This book is *fabulous* for inspiring you to do something creative with large scale fabrics. I'm so glad I have a copy of it; I know you will find is fantastic also. :-)

    happy quilting!
